Through our carefully planned programs --developed specifically to serve identified needs in
the Hutchinson/Reno County area -- Communities That Care offers individuals and families
the opportunity to learn more about developing positive relationships and having healthy
beliefs so our community is one of caring, compassionate, nurturing people.
Below are a brief explanation of our current progams we have developed as well as a
news section to keep you informed of what is happening at CTC. You may also be

 Internationally recognized, research has validated the positive impact of the Strengthening Families Program 10-14 on parenting skills. The research also shows less risky behavior among program participants. Classes offered throughout the year.

 Parenting Wisely is delivered in a group setting through the use of DVD, a facilitator, and a workbook. The program addresses risk factors related to behavior problems among children and adolescents. Parenting Wisely normally last around 2.5-3 hours. Click here for more |
 CTC Mentoring is a school-based mentoring effort that links caring adult volunteers from the community with students in schools and is open to all students, grades K-12, within participating school districts. All activities take place on school grounds before, during or after school hours.

 Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol is an evidence-based prevention program that utilizes community-organizing strategies designed to reduce adolescent access to alcohol by changing community policies and practices. Click here for more |
 Leadership clubs at both Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Middle School 8 gives students an opportunity to serve their community in positive ways. It’s important to have youth on board!
